A beautiful day in Ferndale, WA.  Whatcom County Studebaker Club's
annual meet at the restored Hovander Farm.  A perfect place for a car
show.  The club invites ALL makes and models to their meet, but
Studebakers clearly out numbered other makes (a big change from most

Ed Reynolds, again our new President, reported on the Board meeting at
the IM and mentioned that added pins had been authorized, "though I
doubt that anyone qualifies." (or something like that was said.
As I paid my first ($3) dues in 66, I will qualify next year.

NOS doesn't mean what it us too.13 Sep 2005 13:40 GMT10
Saw a guy selling repop chevy parts, calling his "New Old Stuff".And also
using the term NOS.  I just hate the blurring of terms in a hobby.
Its hard enough trying to explain, "New Old Stock" to person not in the
hobby.
Brake booster, replace or rebuild?13 Sep 2005 06:35 GMT2
The brake booster on my 56 President Classic has been sitting for about 20
years.  I removed the booster and I'm trying to decide if I should just
replace it with a rebuilt one or tear it apart myself.  I can get a booster
seal kit for around $125 or a rebuild unit for about $245.  ...
Generator / Alternator question13 Sep 2005 05:58 GMT9
I took apart the alternator to inspect it and replace the bolt that is the
contact point on the outside of the case.  There is an insulator on the
inside of this bolt that I believe prevents the bolt from touching the body
of the case.  I need to know where I can get a replacement ...

Wisconson Studebaker crankshafts12 Sep 2005 23:47 GMT6
As some of you know I'm about to have to do some major work on the
engine of my Lark, including new main bearings.  I want to do this right
and not have to mess with it again for a LONG time so I'm going to go
ahead and pull the engine.

Has anyone here heard anything about the  dates that the   Reedsville
PA. Show held by The Manhattan Studebaker Club and Max Corkins will be?
Most of the time the show has been held in November but last year it
was the last weekend in October. I believe that the date has always
