Pilot Bushing04 Sep 2005 07:35 GMT3
Looking for the size (id/od & length) and/or crossover for a pilot bushing (for a clutch change over) for a 1952 Commander V-8?  Part number 510168. Is there something that I can ask for at the local FLAPS that will work and I won't get that Stude-what dumb look?? Thanks.
V8 waterpumps04 Sep 2005 07:18 GMT14
I was under the impression that there were only 3 basic pumps, the early
51 pump, the Avanti pump and the rest. I have seen a few of the common
52-64 pumps with a hub that stuck out too far for the clutch fan. Can
anyone give me a V8 pump 101 course ?
Ebay04 Sep 2005 07:17 GMT3
Anyone dealing with EBay has probably received messages that someone
has been using their ID to make illegal offers. The next message that
comes to me is me requiring to update my account. Is this an anomaly or
just me.
Awsome Sight <OT>04 Sep 2005 06:55 GMT3
We have had two military convoys pass through Perkins this morning.
The second one had to be two miles long, or longer.
I was heading home in the GT (Studebaker content,) and there was a solid
line of convoy for  the last mile before I got home, and it continued to the
Stude Bearings Made in Taiwan??04 Sep 2005 06:43 GMT5
I ordered a set of Studebaker V8 main bearings from one of the larger
Stude vendors. They were advertised as Clevite bearings.
When they arrived, the label on the box with the bearing set part
number says "Made in Taiwan".  Nowhere on the bearings do they say
Free Studebaker Chassis04 Sep 2005 04:23 GMT5
Found on the net:
"I have an original rolling frame for a 1950 Studebaker. I would like to
give this to any Studebaker collector. It is complete, rolls, and
steers, and is full of good, original parts. This frame is in Fallbrook
Gasoline where I live- OT04 Sep 2005 02:37 GMT10
Gas prices are pretty much unexplainable around here (Eastern Panhandle of
WV).  Monday, every gas station in Martinsburg was $2.499 for 87 octane.
Yesterday they were all $3.199 except for the Martins grocery store gas
station.  As I drove by I noticed that there were six or ...

Question on body trim parts for T-Cab04 Sep 2005 01:25 GMT5
I have a question....
Thought I remembered that '59 Lark body trim parts will interchange with '63
T-Cab... Did I really remember something real?  Or, did I just have a
hopeful dream? or just imagination??? Or just eat too much pizza???

Just gets better and better with some people.

Salt2Salt needs truck engines03 Sep 2005 17:49 GMT1
We are going to start looking around for some minimally overbored 185" truck
engines as candidates for next year's car.  We won't be relieving the block
or boring for more displacement.  Preferably, of course, we want something
for nothing,  and don't want to drive to far to pick it ...
Pretty in the pictures03 Sep 2005 17:17 GMT4
Sal's done with the final detailing on the cheap 61 Hawk. Now I'll
have to explain how much better it is in the picture then close up. Glad
I didn't find the car on ebay with this pix and one of those: "Nice
Hawk, runs and drives " descriptions or I would have gone nuts ...
