With gas in the area hitting $2.75-$3.00/gallon, is anyone rethinking about
going to Asheville next weekend (or any other meets)?  I'm not trying to put
the hex on the meet, but I live in Lexington, SC (162 miles away) and it's
going to probably cost me at least $75 in gas round ...

I just was playing with my new steam cleaner I picked up off ebay, a
slick little unit. It's a 3 way: cold 500 psi water, 220 degree 500 psi
hot water/steam, and 80 psi, 320 degree water that flashes to steam, all

The tranny in my 60 Hawk dosen't shift right.In normal driving its OK,except
theres no kick down,gear reduction for passing.
Also,by starting out in L and switching to high thers a definite slip where
the tach jumps,but the tranny dosen't shift right away as it should.

Has anyone heard or read about any country including Canada that has offered
any assistance or help in any way to aleviate the suffering and hardships
that the residents of the Gulf Coast are now going through?

 The information pertaining to production numbers was obtained
through the Studebaker Museum. What makes this truck rare is unknown.
