64 Hawk arrived28 Sep 2005 04:25 GMT2
Just drove the Hawk I bought on ebay home from up the street where
the big truck dropped it. Not much to report yet, but I could not resist
buffing out a half a fender. (I love buffing black paint)<g>

Buying your first Studebaker27 Sep 2005 19:00 GMT16
We have nothing like this on the SDC website, so, after contacting the
webmaster, I have come up with this.
I recognize that it still needs smoothing.
I seek comments, good or bad.

Q Re Brakes27 Sep 2005 14:55 GMT6
I feel like I've gotten my 64 R-1 out of a long extended hibernation.
It's been a whole year since I've driven it more than a few blocks.  It
is running fantastic - except for the brakes - they're scary!  Please
help me understand what is wrong with them.
Avanti starter current draw?27 Sep 2005 09:02 GMT11
OK... hopefully someone here can help me with my issue...  in my '55
coupe if the car sits for any length of time, it takes a couple cranks
to get fuel up to the carburetor.  Often the battery will run down
after only 3 or 4 cranks but then when I bring out a booster pack it

Socket terminals needed27 Sep 2005 04:50 GMT6
I have purchased some rechromed 55 tail light housings. They have none of
the wiring for the bulbs. If I remember correctly, they need terminal ends
with a spring and an oval shaped block that the wires pass through. The oval
shape keeps the setup from rotating when the bulb is ...
Meet At The Pass27 Sep 2005 04:45 GMT1
The 2005 "Meet At The Pass" hosted by the High Plains Chapter was held last
weekend (Sept 23-24) in Raton NM. The attendance was down about 40% from
last year which I attribute to the shock of  hurricanes Katrina and Rita and
the escalated price of petrol. All in all, we had 24 ...
R3 "Lark" Production27 Sep 2005 03:59 GMT3
In the Hemming Muscle Car it states that Nelson Bove has the only R3
Lark ever to leave the plant.  However I just got my hands on a January
1964 copy of Hot Rod Magazine and it shows an R3 Daytona.  Whats the
deal with that?  Also they show an R4 "Lark", what ever happend to that
brake upgrade27 Sep 2005 03:35 GMT10
I'm getting ready to "upgrade the brakes on my 64 Wagonair.. The car was
origionally a 6cyl with manual trans..
The person who I purchased the car from replaced the dead 6cyl with a 259v/8
& 3spd o/d trans from a 64 Cruiser..
Lark VI in LA27 Sep 2005 02:01 GMT1

Decent project car, engine looks like a fresh rebuild. Body is amazingly
straight and rust free - too bad the same can't be said for the driver's
side floorboard, which needs replaced.
