Just got back home from Graphic Workshop where we sponsor a Barb-B-Que and had our chapter meeting. Great Turnout. Everyone who brought their cars had pictures taking of their car in the Texaco Station Display.  Over a dozen cars came plus one Oldsmobile and a 1941 Lincoln.  Sign ...

A fellow came up to me at Maxton the last time I was there and asked,

Piston parts numbers14 Nov 2005 19:44 GMT1
My dad recently purchased a 63 289 long block.  We removed the oil pan
and found the part number 1557148 cast into the pistons, but I haven't
been able to find the number in any of my parts books.  The best I can
tell is that they are flat top pistons but I am not sure.  Your help ...

Early Saturday afternoon I got in ol' Gus, my 60 Champ, and headed down
US 70 toward Kinston to Ted Banner's to pick up an engine for the Lark.

Hydraulic clutch problems14 Nov 2005 00:20 GMT9
I'm trying to sort out the clutch on my Chevy powered coupe. I can't get
the clutch to disengage because I can't get enough throw from the slave
cylinder. I installed a new slave (7/8 bore), rebuilt the MC (1 inch
bore), but still no joy. I know Chevy's use a few different ...
Sealer on R3 Header Gaskets?13 Nov 2005 16:45 GMT8
I was using the composite cylinder head to header gaskets on my R3
headers.  They blew out.  I bought a set of steel gaskets, they still
leak.  Any recommendations for a sealer to put on the steel gaskets?
Something that won't blow out?  Thanks.
