| Avanti hat test | 18 Nov 2005 12:32 GMT | 7 |
I've been reading in some other forums that the Avanti is as tall as it is because Egbert insisted that he be able to wear his hat in the car. I knew that Larks "passed the hat test", but is there any truth to the Avanti story?

| Pertronix | 18 Nov 2005 10:22 GMT | 13 |
I just installed the Pertronix points eliminator in my 65 six cyllinder Commander yesterday and I wish I had done it years ago. I had almost given up on the old girl for anything more than driving to the store but now she runs almost like she did a hundred thousand miles ago and

| Would make a rodder cry. | 18 Nov 2005 03:13 GMT | 11 |
You know how the street rodders often pick a nice car to rod ? I saw something today that might cause a street rodder some sadness. I stopped off at a buddies local rod shop today, and he showed me a stunning Viper V10 powered chopped 51 Mercury coupe, done by Boyd Coddington ...

| ON TOPIC - Auto Paint & EPA | 18 Nov 2005 03:08 GMT | 52 |
If there's ever been a time to release the political fury of this group on a worthwhile cause, this is it. Everyone here should do what little they can to avoid another R12/R134A fiasco from happening. And yes, I consider this ON TOPIC:

| Wheel stud size? | 18 Nov 2005 01:55 GMT | 12 |
I broke down and ordered a set of Cragars for my Lark and now have to hunt down right and left threaded nuts and a set of wheel locks. Anyone know, off hand, what size threads they be? Thanks!

| Transmission help? | 17 Nov 2005 23:46 GMT | 4 |
I recently revived a ’60 Lark 8 out of a field for my wifes 30th birthday present. The car is equipped with a 3 speed /O.D.. The problem now facing us is that when the car is placed in reverse there is major slipping and clunking from the transmission to the rear axle.

Well it seems that the white 62 on e-bay is competing fiercly with Johns R1- 63. I sorta like the Red one better. The seller{used car dealer} e-mailed me back telling me it was the one that was listed some two to three months ago on e-bay and the auction ended early

| Vintage seat covers | 17 Nov 2005 03:18 GMT | 1 |
What happened to all of the vintage seat covers that used to be for sale at every swap meet and on eBay all the time? They had the neat old nylon patterns with cotton sides. They've disappeared; you never see them anymore at swap meets. I need a set for my 51 Champ 4-dr.
