I am hooking up a remote brake fluid reservoir on my coupe. I got a
reservoir from a Jap car in the wreaking yard. I plan to use a short length
of hose at each end of a steel line to connect it. Will fuel line or power
steering hose deteriorate from the brake fluid? If so what ...

I ran across this and inquired about the 289.  The serial number he gave me
is VK516.  If I decoded this correctly then V=259, K=Oct, 5=1965, 16=16th
day?

The Avanti stopped charging recently, and my mechanic friend took both
the alternator & regulator to an automotive electrical shop that has
done right by him in the past.  First impression is that the rotor is
the incorrect size or is simply defective.  He questions the size
