I think that I found the short in my steering column wire. Was as it was right under the cap, ut hard to see. Horn works with wire from battery, but not by pressing horn rim.

Hello Studedudes,,,,,,, My 1963 R2 Lark has the air cleaner element retainer lid painted orange. The rest of the air cleaner is chrome. Is this correct or should it be chrome plated?

Pulled the intake off the R2 Lark tonight. I then cleaned the valley cover up. It looks like it was nickle plated and not chromed. Is that factory? I thought the valley covers were all chrome plated.
