Bullet Nose on the History Channel04 Dec 2005 02:11 GMT5
But.... you wouldn't be proud.
On a segment of "Hitler's Managers," Ferdinand Porsche was featured.
A very well done and informative hour on the man, and the VW, primarily.
Film footage of the early Beetle cruising through the Deutsch countryside,
door locks...04 Dec 2005 02:06 GMT17
I bought a pair of door locks that I thought were correct for my '55
coupe at Reedsville, when I went to compare them with the one that came
with the car, the original sticks out from the body 3/8" or more, the
others are pretty close to flush.  Who'd have thunk it?  apparently

A "trophy" video appearing to show security guards in Baghdad randomly
shooting Iraqi civilians has sparked two investigations after it was
posted on the internet, the Sunday Telegraph can reveal.

Turning Wheels03 Dec 2005 04:02 GMT31
Any one else notice a funny smell to this months Turning Wheels magazine.
Open my on Monday from the first class envelope and had a funny smell and it
started making me cough.  Stood it on end and fan the pages out in another
room and left it there that way for a day and its ...
Cars and Parts Magazine03 Dec 2005 01:45 GMT24
Very on topic!
The cover featured a very nice 63 Avanti, and there was a great article on
Avanti history, specs, and it's role in the Studebaker fate.
1952 cars of all makes were cameo'ed in the magazine.

I'm done under the hood, all the wiring and plumbing is done, but N8

New EBay services02 Dec 2005 14:33 GMT2
Got some Ebay spam in the form of a questionnaire.
Being bored while waiting for a compile, I took it.
At the end of the questionnaire, E-bay claims it will be offering the
following services, soon.
Hop-Up 195302 Dec 2005 13:55 GMT8
Does any one have the details of the 16 pages of modifications that appeared
in the Hop Up magazine in 1953, or it could have been a book put out just
about engines buy Hop Up, about modifying the Studebaker V8? Does any one
know the date and details? If any one has it would they ...
Alternator conversion?02 Dec 2005 13:11 GMT12
A few weeks ago the generator in my Lark died, and as the truck wasn't
working at the time (and I had to get the car home again!), I borrowed
the generator from the truck.
Then the engine in the Lark died and I'm in the process of replacing it,
Valve Covers on Ebay02 Dec 2005 04:23 GMT1
I am swapping the brand X small block Chevy out of my '53 for a brand X LS1,
so I no longer need the custom Studebaker logo valve covers I made last
year.  They are listed on Ebay, hope they go to a good home

Lark six w/AC AND PS02 Dec 2005 02:50 GMT14
Here's a car that answers some of the NG recent questions- a '61 Lark with
both factory AC and power steering (an automatic as well).  It looks to be a
very nice car, but the bidding history looks pretty suspicious to me.

In what universe would that be, I wonder?

Houdaille lever-action shock fluid02 Dec 2005 00:10 GMT4
Anyone know the right fluid for Houdaille shocks?  I did a quick search and
found fluid for the lever-action shocks used in MGB's.  I also found
motorcycle shock fluid.   I suspect either would work but would really like
to know for sure!
