thickness of intake gaskets?12 Jan 2006 20:35 GMT11
Does anyone have both a steel shim intake gasket and a composition
intake gasket that they can measure for me?  Talked to the guy that has
my aluminum manifold today and he is concerned that he would be cutting
too much off to true it up.
Avanti scam12 Jan 2006 17:42 GMT7
  Just got this:
"I am glad to find a serious buyer as yourself. I will forward now the
details of our transaction to eBay and I will let you know when I am
done with that. You will then receive an invoice for your purchase along
stupid little part...12 Jan 2006 16:35 GMT6
does ANYONE know where I can get a banjo fitting for the inlet of a
Carter AFB that has an inverted flare (5/16" or 3/8") rather than a 3/8"
hose barb?  Trying to neaten up my underhood, but there seem to be only
two options, either to buy the really expensive line from Russell ...
Ebay Avanti12 Jan 2006 15:36 GMT10
I asked to get on the "approved bidder" on the Avanti. Apparently I
can bid if I send a $2900 deposit.
"The car is located in Atlantic Beach NY, excellent running and body
condition, no flaws on it or any other mechanical problems. It has a
Weasel on TV12 Jan 2006 14:44 GMT6
Happened to turn on the History Channel just in time to see the end of
a segment of "Mail Call"  on the Weasel.  The guy who does that (ex
marine, I can't remember his name) was driving the thing pretty hard.
What I saw looked pretty accurate.

(Semi OT) Chinese vehicles12 Jan 2006 13:57 GMT7
On the NBC Nightly News tonight they did a segment on the Detroit Auto
Show... looks like the Chinese (company called Geely Automobile Company) are
going to enter the small car market and from what I understood from the
segment that the cars appear to be of decent quality and ...

Cowl tag12 Jan 2006 03:22 GMT1
One of my customers is in need of a cowl tag for his 63 GT Hawk.  His
was partially melted from a dash fire.  Number is not really important,
this is just for looks.  He has what's left of his original.  His car
is, however, an early car as it has the factory plate welded over the
good day...12 Jan 2006 00:31 GMT4
just found out that Jeff apparently gave JP the part I needed for my
thermostat housing, my pass. side trunk hinge showed up in the mail
today, and I won an AFB strip kit on eBay.  Life is good!

If it wasn't for bad luck....11 Jan 2006 13:57 GMT20
Sometimes I think I wouldn't have any luck at all!
This morning I took Mom to breakfast and then we got her a load of pine
straw.  It was a pretty nice day so we went for a ride...
After driving about 20 miles or so through the countryside (including a
