there've been another 20-30 insightful posts.  So this is less a car comment
than group-analysis...First, congrats to the NG for a ...

Two Studebakers went on the block today.  A 54 Champion Starlight went
for $27,500 and a 53 Champion Starliner modified was bid to $44,000 and
was a no sale.  The owner is wanting in the $50,000 range.  There was
also a so so 62 GT and a 88 Avanti convertible that looked like it had

Does anyone know anything about Ben Lindenbusch Stude dealership? His
dealer emblem is on the back of one of the 64 Wagonaire parts cars. I
believe we bought the car from north Georgia.

Spray paint29 Jan 2006 18:38 GMT7
Decided to try and save a few bucks on ebay on one of my most
popular "consumable" items, spray paint. I tried the guy at the link
below and am stunned by the quality and service he provides. It's a big
can, very high in solids, covers like a dream, and flows out nice and

forgot to ask this, and just remembered (memory was jogged by a thread
on another newsgroup) is there a PCV valve still available for a '63
V-8?  I have the inline one with a right angle on the carb side
fitting.  While playing carb games last weekend I noticed that the

Saturday Not So Fun Follies29 Jan 2006 16:24 GMT12
Helped a close neighbor friend move their father into a home today
(or started on it anyways)...
It was a lot harder than I thought it would be....emotionally.
He isn't the type to go willingly, but after several episodes
Mitsubish EVO   O.T..29 Jan 2006 15:08 GMT12
Just watched the Top Gear TV show on the Mitsubish EVO. (taped for
N8) It was damn impressive. A 4 door sedan, with a 2 liter 400 HP engine
that outran a Lamborghini on a road course, put it in the weeds. 0-60 in
3.5 seconds, computer controled everything. The guy was putting ...
eBay argh.29 Jan 2006 14:26 GMT6
got my "500 mile" 500 CFM edelbrock today, looks like it was on an

my tailpipes) and then the guy threw it against a wall after he took it
off - primary throttle shaft is bent a good 3/16" and housing is ...

Is it spring yet?  Today brought clear skies, temperature of 53°, dry roads,
wow!  I got the '48 M5 out of the garage, drove to the hardware store,
parked next to a '50 Chevy pick-up.  Some sight, two old trucks parked next
to each other.  It sure was great to get a day in ...
