Brakes vs. Air24 Jan 2006 00:00 GMT12
Guys - I've just finished installing Dave Levesque's front disc system on
my '74 Avanti, using his '68 Camero calipers & pads.  It's a nice fit and
had no
problems installing, but for the life of me I can't seem to get the whole
63 convert update23 Jan 2006 23:12 GMT22
Since buying the 63 rag top off ebay, I got a lot done. Starting
with a new shift tube to make for smooth shifting. I replaced the rear
spring bushings, a exhaust hanger and pinion seal. That was about all I
could find wrong mechanically other then lube and adjustments. The ...
fuel pump question23 Jan 2006 21:53 GMT14
this is more academic than anything else, because my car is currently
running fine...  just trying to figure out why stuff doesn't fit...
my '55 coupe has a '63 289 mounted in it... when I got it the little
brass fitting for the fuel pump was actually hitting on the engine

And, I'm too lazy to rewrite it!
There are many, many things I don't understand... mostly, about myself.
Like, why do I spend so many hours at this machine, getting involved
in things like finding old Studebakers a new home?
65 gear ratios??23 Jan 2006 15:39 GMT10
I am headed down to a storage area this week to pick up a new project... a
65 Commander 2dr coupe. It had a standard shift in it... but I don't know
exactly which GM engine it had since the engine is gone... either the 6 or
V8 283... but with a standard shift... don't know about ...
Valve lifter question23 Jan 2006 15:10 GMT4
Are the OHV six valve lifters interchangeable with the V-8 lifters?  They
have different part numbers, but the six cylinder lifters come in a package
of 16 (?).

More Barrett-Jackson Stupidity23 Jan 2006 12:19 GMT14
Some idiot just paid $600,000 for the rights to buy the first 2007 Shelby GT
Fastback... you don't actually get a car, just the rights to be first in
line.

overdrive kick-down switch wiring23 Jan 2006 11:30 GMT2
Hi everyone, I'm new to the group. I have '63 wagonaire. V-8, O/D.

In going through my old parts stocks I decided to do something about some
incomplete piston sets.  I found the following:

3 each 524383 '55-'58 Champion standard size

Ran across this site while looking for something. It isn't only Stude,
but very interesting anyway.

Stude Fan Speas Out (About Stude's)23 Jan 2006 02:30 GMT5

Pittsburgh and points beyond..

Avanti Powershift23 Jan 2006 00:52 GMT5
I took the Powershift out of my 64 R-1 - the rear band broke - and
installed
a 700R4.  Does anyone want the Powershift?  I'm just south of Seattle.

'55 beltline stainless22 Jan 2006 23:56 GMT4
does anyone have a pic of the clips that hold the beltline stainless
trim on the doors of an early C-K?  The driver's side of my car is
missing one or more clips, including whatever is supposed to be at the
rear end.  I'd like to replace it as the rattling is incredibly annoying.
