Quandry of sorts  OT22 Jan 2006 23:56 GMT4
With a garage full of Studebakers, and wanting a couple more, what is one to
do?  You make the wife happy is the correct answer.  So you look for a
killer dinette set, but settle on a Harley.  Besides, they take up less
space than a car.  Now if she will let me ride her new bike. ...

2007 Lexus LS460... haven't decided if I like it, but it doesn't matter I
couldn't afford it and if I could wouldn't spend that much on a car.
Reading the description, it looks like if you're in the back seat it'll do
everything but <insert OCF comment>. <G>
Ad for Pachard that sounded interesting22 Jan 2006 20:10 GMT2
" '34 Packard Super Eight Phaeton, five new whitewalls, new upholstry,
good paint and mechanical condition. $365 or best offer, will take
trades."
It is much more attractive now than when I first read it in Motor Trend

Just scored a 200R4 for cheeep and my 63 Daytona got delivered.  The
car is covered with the dirt and crud from twenty plus years of sitting
under the original owner's shed.  I can't bring myself to wash it just
yet as I want to get some pics of it in all it's filthy glory.  Six

Google update O.T.22 Jan 2006 05:07 GMT9
I found out the government subpoena for Google records would involve
over one billion searchs. It has been suggested that the government has
no idea of the volume of the searches they want to study. It'll take
100's of thousands of man hours to plow through on the tax payers ...

OD handle placement22 Jan 2006 03:08 GMT8
I have a question for the group - I have been looking through the owners
manual of the 62, which shows the OD handle as being next to the hood
latch.  It does not show the placement of the under-dash lights.  On my
62 Daytona convertible, I have an under-dash light placed where the ...
happy day...22 Jan 2006 01:00 GMT2
still have JP's carb on my car, I pulled it off again and reset the
floats about 1/16" below spec, also added a Wix pleated paper filter
instead of the reusable "screen" filter I'd been using as apparently my
gas tank has a little more rust in it than I thought, and I thought

1966 tranny front pump21 Jan 2006 14:46 GMT3
One of the members in the Allegheny Region ( near Pittsburgh) has a
N.O.S. front pump for sale from a 1966 Commander with a 230 6 cyl. He
got it from Newman Altman right before it became SASCO. He has no use
for it as the tranny was changed to a 700r4, and the pump was never
adapter plate....21 Jan 2006 13:23 GMT4
Once upon a time I had an Offy intake manifold with a Carter AFB on it.
The manifold had an adapter plate with it when I bought it.  I don't
know who made the adapter plate...  can anyone help?  I may need another
in the near future; when I traded away my Offy manifold I just ...
