When I bought my '64 Avanti R-2 I didn't like it sitting so low in the front. So, I replaced the springs with a set of Studebaker Avanti Heavy Duty springs. Height gained- zero. The springs I took out don't have Studebaker numbers stamped on them, but have "US 480" stamped on ...

I just bought a Studebaker V8 engine that was just pulled out of a 53 2 door and it has this number on the engine V252357. It has a 3 speed tranny with an overdrive as well. I intend to sell them both and am not sure which engine I have. Thanks for your help.

Any suggestions from someone who has done this, to an actual tach (company and part # etc) that 'fits, and looks close enough' to replace the (non-functioning, not wanted) clock? I'm guessing likely a SW of some sort...
