Finally hooked up to the newsgroup27 Feb 2006 10:01 GMT7
Hi all. I finally got hooked up to the newsgroup! Looks like I have been
missing quite a bit on here. I am usually on SDC. I have a 63 Lark 2dr
Sedan that I purchased last October. Restoration has begun. It was a
6cyl/auto car which I plan to switch to an 8cyl/4 speed. I am looking ...
Way back machine O.T.27 Feb 2006 06:43 GMT14
When I was 5 years old I must have watched the "Song of the South"
Disney movie a dozen times. It has never been released on video because
some think it's not PC for showing a blissful picture of plantation
life, but as a kid, that did not come across and still does not. I ...
Olympic Musing (ot)27 Feb 2006 02:40 GMT1
Haven't watched much, if any, of the Torino Olympics..
(Didn't see one Ford there...hmph!)
But this morning I saw the Olympic Torch at the Olympic Stadium......
Stupid torch thing looks like the gas flare pipe(s) at a big landfill......

Good Stude day27 Feb 2006 00:45 GMT9
it wasn't raining or snowing this AM so I went over to JP's early and
"stole" my '55 coupe to do some errands, instead of using the Fabulous
BeaterPorsche.  Certainly is quieter inside now that I've R&R'd the
shield over the master cylinder and fixed all the busted speed clips.
speedo cable27 Feb 2006 00:15 GMT2
Will the cable from a 65 fit a 63 Lark?
Thanks, Matthew

Turning Wheels, shameless self promotion26 Feb 2006 22:21 GMT4
I have two boxes of back issues of TW that I was going to take to York
to sell, these are all duplicates of ones that are in my collection,
I've been buying lots of them whenever they come up for cheap trying to
get a whole set.  (and I've been succeeding; I'd estimate that I ...

Funny new VW ads <OT>26 Feb 2006 20:17 GMT1
These are pretty good, but I'd like to see someone pie the "host".

What's really bizarre is that when I watched the second ad (which I
hadn't seen on TV yet), I looked up at the TV and it was ...
R2 badges are back on26 Feb 2006 18:44 GMT7
The R2 badges are back on!  I've been working on getting the new R2
engine into the Hawk this winter.  This is the full package Hawk that
lost its R2 parts sometime back in the early 70's.  So far I've got
the newly rebuilt engine with the rebuilt Powershift in the car.
Stude Corridor Demolition Began Today26 Feb 2006 16:46 GMT9
I know Dick Quinn has done an excellent write up on the subject in TW, but I
thought it appropriate to note that today was the day that the largest
demolition project to date in the South Bend Studebaker Corridor began.
Crews have been working in the area for the past couple ...
