Quarter Window Boxes26 Feb 2006 03:32 GMT1
It looks like SASCO sells the quarter window boxes, the catalog calls them
runs, but.....  These are the galvanized things with the stainless strips
and the fuzzy insides that the quarter windows roll up into.  I took one
apart tonight and it looks like rebuilding them will be ...
49-54 truck door handle.26 Feb 2006 03:21 GMT4
Anyone have one laying about?
One of the neighbor kids tried breaking into the truck ( I have him on
video) and tore the handle off.
(It was previously weakened when my uncle drove into a wall)
Glass26 Feb 2006 03:05 GMT1
Where should I go for tinted glass for my Speedster?  I need a passenger
side window and both vent window.  There is a couple places selling sets on
e-bay, I might get them cut at the local glass shop or what else?
Thanks
Avanti on Battlestar Galactica26 Feb 2006 02:56 GMT3
Don't know if I saw this right but last night on the SciFi channel
during Battlestar Galactica it appeared that there was an Avanti in a
parking garage of a building that was evantually blown up.  There also
was a modified VW Bug and an old Citroen bathtup type.
What's up with all the "Studebaker" Items on eBay?26 Feb 2006 02:17 GMT3
For last couple years it seems that there have been between 2000 and 3000 "Studebaker" items (items with "Studebaker" in the main listing) on eBay at any given time. That number has now climbed in the 7000 plus range the last month or so. Any ideas as to why the huge influx of ...

Labor rates revisited25 Feb 2006 21:54 GMT5
Stopped in a medium sized independant shop the other day to pick up a
part I needed.  While waiting for them to look up the part I couldn't
help but notice the labor rate sign.  Fifty five dollars and hour,
minimum shop fee fifteen bucks.  This is a family owned shop that has
Speedster automatic transission25 Feb 2006 21:38 GMT4
Of course, I have no idea what type of fluid is in the transmission,
but is it a safe bet to use Dexron/Mercron (sp?) to add when the level
is low--there is a small leak, apparently in one of the seals. thanks
modern car seats for a '66 4dr. sedan25 Feb 2006 21:24 GMT3
I intend to install some kind of modern (comfortable) auto seats into
my '66 bastardized Commander. I need to know whether anyone knows of a
decent direct or almost so rear seat replacement. Almost anything will
fit into the front, but I would like to hear from anyone who has done
Air Bag Suspension25 Feb 2006 18:56 GMT7
Has anyone tried to install one of the airbag suspension systems on a
Stude?  I REALLY like that low, low look that Chip Foose uses so
much...and since I'm never gonna get my Avanti on "Overhaulin", I'm
thinking about trying it myself.

CBS  evening news25 Feb 2006 17:25 GMT31
Don't miss the last story on the CBS nightly news, it's a inspiration. I
can't say if it's Karma or the hand of God, but it's very cool.
