| Had the '53 running today | 17 Mar 2006 18:36 GMT | 7 |
I haven't run my '53 Commander Starliner since some time last year (CRS- maybe it was the year before). The last time I had tried to drive it I was having trouble with it coughing and dying every time I tried to give it gas. Since then I replaced the 40+ year old sparkplug wires ...

I had a ball having a vacation and trip in Indiana. I got to see Ng'ers Lee D. And Ted Harbit, not to mention being at Sasco several times. Felt like a hyper kid in a candy store <G> Anyways I want to thank Ted and Lee for their hospitality and kindness. My

| 39'? on ebay | 17 Mar 2006 15:56 GMT | 5 |
I was looking through ebay and found a listing for a 38 Studebaker 4 door. Since I am restoring the 39 CE and some parts are the same as the 38 (dash mostly) I thought I should check it out. It looks like a 39 to me. Grill and Dash look 39ish and not from a 38.

| Shop exhaust hose | 17 Mar 2006 12:16 GMT | 5 |
What's a good and relatively inexpensive source for flexible hose and fittings, etc. to vent exhaust gas through the wall to the outside. I'll need at least 2.5" ID hose to fit over the tailpipe extension. It looks like everything I've found searching the web is heavy duty for

| Talk About Getting Hosed... | 17 Mar 2006 05:49 GMT | 2 |
According to this e-bay seller, the original price of this 1954 Packard Clipper DeLuxe 2-door sedan, Model 5495, was $5,254. If that seems unrealistically high, it's because it is. To wit: I just looked in my Dad's dealer records for 1954 new-car

Bid on a '64 Daytona hardtop that was on eBay. Reminded of one I used to have and regretted selling. Didn't really expect to get it, but I did. So now I have to go to southern California next month. (San Luis Obispo). I will probably swing down after the Portland Swap Meet. Unless ...

| Ebay fraud update | 16 Mar 2006 13:54 GMT | 5 |
I was asked by my dealer rep to write a note to ebay about my gripe with their slow respone. I wrote: " Thanks for listening to my tale of frustration in having to jump through hoops to get ebay to kill fraud auctions in a timidly manner.
