The 57 Hawk I just bought has a pretty badly bent hood and will require

Sweet little 616 Mar 2006 02:00 GMT1
Just finished the trans swap on the 62 Lark VI. When I pulled the motor
we rebuilt it as it was smoking a bit - bored, balanced and added an
Isky cam. Bolted on the OD trans I got from Dennis (it was screaming at
70 without OD), installed the OD throttle bracket (also NOS from ...

Toys (but not really OT)15 Mar 2006 22:17 GMT4
This might be old news, but here goes. I'm not a toy collector at all,
but if a Stude one appears in front of me, it usually gets my
attention. I was at WallyWorld yesterday and saw a Hot Wheels (# 2005
043). It is in the Torpedoes series. It is a bulletnose, and indeed,

I was chatting to a guy today that has to move some of his cars because of
city regs.

A zero-feedback seller, too. I wonder if our scammer is back in action, or has the actual
owner of this ...

Neighborhoods in South Bend <semi OT>15 Mar 2006 04:50 GMT6
There has been some interesting articles in the South Bend Tribune,
starting 3/12/2006, concerning housing concerns.  Problems being traced
back to the days of Studebaker are being sighted.  It is an interesting
series of articles, with another article due out 3/15/2006.

Petronix15 Mar 2006 03:00 GMT2
I ordered a Petronix (1180, I believe) from a guy on E-Bay
(Jhogsomething) in California. It never arrived. Paypal is returning my
money. Who sells Petronix for the Delco window type now that Ted is
not?
steering box rebuild?15 Mar 2006 01:54 GMT11
Anyone have a steering box professionally rebuilt?  I picked up another
steering box at York (thanks Lee) so I will be pulling my old box soon
to have it sent off.  I figure this way I will end up swapping the box
twice, but I will also be able to honestly describe its condition ...
Looking for chrome reverse wheels for Stude15 Mar 2006 01:34 GMT6
Long time reader but have never posted.  I have 1960 Stude Lark
convertible.  I am thinking of changing the look of this classic.  I am
looking for chrome reverse rims with baby moons to give the car a real
nostalgic look.  I have looked on E-bay and found some that are 7
70 Avanti II wiring question15 Mar 2006 01:13 GMT5
I'm putting a 70 Avanti II drive line in a 62 Daytona and I have one
question in regard to wiring.  Is the trans kick down switch that is on the
throttle bellcrank wired with a switched +12 on one side and the the other
side runs directly to the trans or is a relay used?
