Three-point belts installed- link to pix07 Mar 2006 19:13 GMT1
Per Karl's earlier post I took pix of the way I installed three-point belts
in my Wagonaire in '64 or '65.
As I recall, my installation was pretty much the same as r_rither@yahoo.com
mentioned in his post of 11:25 am today.  I think I had to weld a nut on to
Car shopping   O.T.07 Mar 2006 17:46 GMT4
This is the first time I've shopped for a new car in a few years,
quite a difference.  Once you've picked the model and trim level you
want, you have a color choice and one option package. BTW, not easy to
find a high trim level car with manual transmission, nothing within ...

How many can there be? (Too bad this one is so beat up; it actually
doesn't look as structurally rusty as some...)

VW service is a joke O.T.07 Mar 2006 09:17 GMT11
Wifes car just died going down the road. I checked for spark and it
had a nice fat one off the coil. That's about all I can do with a late
fuel injected car, so off it goes to the dealer. First call, "it needs a
battery" WTF, the battery was just fine. Of course they won't ...

CRUISIN' along07 Mar 2006 04:19 GMT2
I scheduled another trip to Tally after a first trek down there to rebuild
the carb.
The car went to Tally in December because it was leaking a little gas on the
manifold, and I could smell the strong odor of petrol around the car. Also

Cool product at York06 Mar 2006 21:00 GMT3
I didn't get a chance to talk to the guy, but he makes real wood veneer
overlays for 56-84 Hawk dashes.  About $250 for the entire dash, pretty
nice looking stuff.
59 wagon, last call.06 Mar 2006 19:51 GMT13
Here's the $1600 project wagon I sangged with a BIN on ebay, if no
one here wants it for a keeper at my cost, I'll ship it for a quick
turn.  It runs and drives, the overdrive does not work.  It's in
Lawrence Kansas.
Need right side back-up light for 1954 C/K06 Mar 2006 18:20 GMT2
Hello group,
I need a right side back-up light housing for our 1954 Commander Starliner
hardtop.  I'd prefer NOS or show chrome.  Back-up lights for 1953 and 1955
C/K models also fit.  I don't need the lens, socket, bulb, reflector, etc.
