Barry had asked what it cost to get some handles cast and polished in
stainless. I finally found the invoice and it was $95 per handle.
This work was done by Verdone Casting.

4bbl intake confusion30 Mar 2006 02:18 GMT3
My day for questions.  In rebuilding my Wagonaire engine I thought about
converting it to 4bbl.  I thought I had an AFB manifold, but couldn't find
it.  I do have four WCFB intakes (Yes, I know they can be converted to AFB).
I never considered converting because I always thought ...
Studebaker Cousin30 Mar 2006 01:29 GMT9
I have put several Studebakers back on the road, so I thought I would
try my luck with a Kaiser. I bought a 51 Kaiser that has set for
awhile. Got a new battery, cleaned the plugs, new points, voltage
regulator. I put some Marvel Mystery oil in each cylinder. This car has

Clutch question29 Mar 2006 22:58 GMT6
In rebuilding my Wagonaire 259 (earlier post), we are putting in a new
clutch.  I have a NOS clutch cover assembly that crosses to a HD clutch for
a 259 7E/8E truck or standard clutch for a 289 truck.  Would that work as a
replacement for my clutch?

Just when I thought I was over my adolescence...
You had to go and send me this link.
Once I started recognizing pages I had stuck together decades ago...
Then I found I couldn't stop... Just like way back then!

Hello: The 53 red commander on e-bay jumps from $6250 to $13,500 on the

Some of you may have seen this but it is one very strange story. Hope
no one gets quite this weird about their Studes!

259 to 28929 Mar 2006 04:00 GMT17
The engine in my '64 Wagonaire is down for rebuild.  I have a 289 crank and
289 pistons.  What at I forgetting in converting it from a 259 to a 289?
Thanks,
Paul Johnson
