Aside from the "2-too-many-doors" thing?  Looks pretty nice and it's got
air.  Can't tell about power steering or ...

Weak spark, part 230 Apr 2006 20:39 GMT9
Well, it still won't start. I have replaced the coil, checked the control module,
replaced the ballast resistor. Still no spark from the coil. I have 7 volts on the
positive side of the coil and 1.25 on the negative side. Is this about right?

Neat Idea... not practical for Studebaker manuals though30 Apr 2006 18:39 GMT2
A guy from the Case tractor forum sent me the service manual for the magneto
on my tractor.  He had scanned the whole thing and was e-mailing it to
whoever needed it.  Problem was, the only way he knew to send it to you was
if he read your post asking about it or questions about ...

WCFB carbs30 Apr 2006 13:30 GMT1
I would like to know why some WCFBs have a counterweight on the secondaries
and some don't.  Ny '55 Pres coupe does not have this weight, but the '56
Packard Clipper my brother is restoring does.  Both are auto trans cars.  On
Chevys of that era, stick shift cars were equipped with ...
Hurst floor shifter in T-cab30 Apr 2006 09:13 GMT9
Was looking thru the new Summit Racing catalog and on page 375 saw this
universal floor shifter from Hurst.  Since I've never been happy with the
sometimes-binding of the column shifting T85-OD from my cobbled together
job, I decided to get this shifter and finished the install ...
Less cheap Avanti30 Apr 2006 03:23 GMT6
OK, I'm on a roll now. After trying to rebuild the front disks, I
found the front caliper bores were too pitted to clean up, so I call
SASCO for a price quote. $130 each and I need four, so it's time to call
Jim Turner for the extra few  bucks. Of course once the "cheap" ...
Carburetor question30 Apr 2006 00:37 GMT1

Studebaker C-K, Avanti rear axle dimensions29 Apr 2006 21:39 GMT3
Does anyone have any information on rear axle flange to flange and
spring perch dimensions for C-K and Hawk cars and Avanti. I guess I
could do some crawling and measuring, but thought someone might have
these measurements handy.
Hollander Manuals29 Apr 2006 20:23 GMT2
When I ordered the Hollander Manuals I was under the impression that they
were " 1988-2003 Hollander
Interchange books" as posted on the Stude newsgroup, what I received from
Fulfillment Corp. is the "Classic IV Manual '65-'79" and the invoice is for

Ironic29 Apr 2006 19:23 GMT3
I think it's ironic that this guy is using a picture of my old Avanti
to pitch his carpets especially since that Avanti has MY carpets. <g>
