If not, can the glass be removed without damaging a paint label on it? I have an old 'Passing Eye' mirror assembly in perfect condition except for pitted chrome. The black painted label leaves the words 'Passing Eye' on the mirror.

After reading the NG I was wondering which it was. It's a early 48 with the 47 trunk. But it has giving me nothing grief. Every thing I do to it goes bad. I garantee it will be a trailer queen I'm scared to drive it.

--1 transmission (FOM) from a 63 GT Hawk,289 --1 transmission (FOM) from a 66 Commander with a 230 CI 6 cyl... this will be a chevy (mckinnon) bolt pattern bell housing,with converter and flexplate.
