You cant seem to let go of? Hauled my '40 coupe home yesterday to hang the front sheetmetal on it and then peddle it. I sold it once,bought it back and even though it's a distant 3'rd on the 'to-do' list I look at the rusty hulk and can envision it done and looking cool.

I am having some difficulty identifying the engine in my '50 2R5. The (stamped) engine number is 1R76168 which, as per the reference found at the SDC website (http://www.studebakerdriversclub.com/tech_6data.asp), indicates it is a "1949/1953 2R series Commercial 170'" unit. Am I

should there be washers under the nuts that hold the flywheel onto the rear of the crank? I am thinking yes but wanted to ask to make sure. I bolted the flywheel to my engine today and I could only get the nuts on. Bolts are not original, they are grade 8 ground to work as
