George remembered Chris Banke's name, which I had forgotten. I assume he
has since passed away. Does anybody remember Elmer Schweppenheiser (sp?)
and whatever happened to him and his very original low mileage Avanti?

Ever own a car...31 May 2006 20:13 GMT2
You cant seem to let go of? Hauled my '40 coupe home yesterday to hang the
front sheetmetal on it and then peddle it. I sold it once, bought it back and

indicates it is a "1949/1953 2R series Commercial 170'" unit. Am I
What do you use?31 May 2006 03:44 GMT3
About a year or so ago - there was an article in Turning Wheels
concerning motor oil in newly rebuilt engines.  Obviously, I cannot
find the article.  Can anyone out there point me in the right
direction?  Or, better yet, what do you recommend.  I have new

This is my first attempt at contacting your group, although I must confess
to having a real interest in reading your carry ons, your mumblings,

flywheel hardware30 May 2006 18:40 GMT10
