Took off at 5am to ride shotgun with a buddy as he went to pick up a new
project vehicle. We loaded it and I watched as he chained it down, asked why
no second chain up front as a back up.He replied no need, hauled many cars
and knew what he was doing.I shrugged and said ok.Made it ...
Passenger side grill surround needed for a 53 or 54 CK/ hard top22 May 2006 03:02 GMT2
We pulled my 53 HT out of the bake booth this AM. Kind of reminded me
of some of the photos of Studes coming off the assembly line. This one
really lights up as it is two tone green with a red interior. The paint
looks great so we instantly started checking how the new chrome might
31 Studebaker President 4 Season Roadster Wooden Model22 May 2006 01:23 GMT4
I recieved my June Issue of National Geographic on Saturday. In the
backoin the Flashback  Page there is a color photograph of the wooden
1931 Studebaker President Four Season Roadster.  I have seen black and
white pictures before but none in color.  It is quite a sight.
Studebaker Navy date21 May 2006 23:35 GMT1
As most of you know we are sponsoring a midshipman, the son of fellow
Studebaker nut Brian Scott.  Brain's kid asked to borrow a Studebaker to
attend the "Ring Dance" at the Naval Academy, so I loaded him a GT. The
dance is celebrates the end of their 3rd year, and is a big ...

Ya Works Hard, Then Ya Get toPlay  <PIC>21 May 2006 21:57 GMT6
I don't often get to follow or lead one of my own cars anywhere, so this was
kinda fun.  Went to an open car show today, which was sponsored by the
Oklahoma City SDC chapter.  Had a great time, lots of nice cars!  When/if I
get rested up from this week's activities, I'll post pics ...
Paula Murphy on What's My Line21 May 2006 21:16 GMT3
The Game Show Network has this old black & White show on every night at
12:30 on the west coast. Last night the second guest was Paula. Her line
was "Test Driver & Holder of Women's Speed Record". I watched and hoped
for some mention of Studebaker. Sure enough, after she fooled ...
Dana 27 - 1963 Lark21 May 2006 20:54 GMT19
The Dana 27 in my 1963 lark is roaring like a freight train.  It was
leaking pretty bad and I put a new rear seal in.  That did nothing.
Next I had the pinnion seal replaced by a garage that does the things I
can't do at home. It still leaks and I could swear it did not whine
Stude Noises21 May 2006 19:59 GMT1
Someone complimented Dave on drivng Sheba and I agree!  But driving these
old cars can be detrimental to one's health. I had my Packard Hawk out
yesterday for it's periodical drive. I was tooling along at about 60mph when
I heard this horrible bang. Sounded just like it came from ...
Driving to breakfast and car maintenance...... OT21 May 2006 19:19 GMT2
As with every Saturday morning that I am not out of town at a
Studebaker meet, I met my regular Saturday morning breakfast bunch for
our weekly get together.  Our rules are pretty simple...  If it is dry
and above 40 degrees, we all ride the motorcycles to breakfast, spend
Bury My Heart in the Laurel Highlands OT21 May 2006 05:50 GMT4
The Belgian combine InterBrew has sold the recipe and brand of Rolling Rock
to Anheuser Busch.  They will sell the brewery separately.  It will no
longer come from the mountain springs to you.
In a long and misspent life of beer tasting, I have had three that were
Avanti Radiator Question21 May 2006 05:41 GMT8
I need to remove the steel radiator support - the rectangular steel
"frame" with the two ears that bolt to the frame on my "63 Avanti in
order to strip and paint it. How do you get it out? Did they build the
car around it? If I loosen body bolts going way back can I lift the
SB trip21 May 2006 03:14 GMT13
for those of you who may be interested, I got home from my trip last night.
I left home in Houston on the evening of Mon. the 1st. with my trailer
behind my S-10 truck, which I hoped would give good mileage (it didn't) with
the intention of hauling  parts & equipment I had sold, ...

I've heard that the power window assembly from a Dodge Caravan will
work in my 63 Daytona HT. Has anyone ever tried this?
