Went to a parade with the '54 Saturday.  I suspect it will be my last
parade.  They staged us in a dirt parking lot.  The Vintage Air "Monster
Fan" picked up every speck of dirt within a quarter mile, and deposited it
in the engine compartment.  Tonight, while DWG'ing the engine ...
Movie recommendation20 May 2006 02:56 GMT6
I don't think I have seen this one recommended on here yet, so I better
put in a plug.  An excellent 'traveling' movie with a lot of vintage
autos is "World's Fastest Indian" starring the veteran British character
actor, Anthony Hopkins ("Proof").  I did not spot any Stude's or

If that door has "no rust" as it says in the decription I'd hate to see what a rusty one looks like....
Studebaker Investment  buyers.19 May 2006 19:50 GMT13
You may recall that I have a client looking for a "Supercharged
Golden Hawk"  I mentioned that I'd look for one, but had a 63 R2 for
sale shortly. He explained that the client was not familiar with that
model, so I sent him some pix of Goldie, the car I sold on ebay last

Good old Movies19 May 2006 19:00 GMT10
OK, it's really not a good movie but I'm sitting here watching Smokey
and the Bandit on Spike TV and it is a blast to see the 'chase' scenes
where they smash up a load of late model (well, late model in '77)
Pontiac and Mopar 4-dr sedans, LOTS of rear wheel drive tire smoke,

SASCO Inventory19 May 2006 06:30 GMT2
So how much inventory does Dennis have left from the Newman and Altman
hoard?  I notice that a few of the items are gone that he had a year or
so ago.

drove the dump truck to skool19 May 2006 04:39 GMT12
Today was the last day of the year, so I drove the $2.00 2R15 to school
today. It ran fine, except for a little flooding when cranking. I rode
a couple of teachers around and was the talk of the day. Didn't get to
dump out anything though... (sheesh) Now, to fix that gas guage, it
Customer wants...19 May 2006 01:07 GMT5

Hawk that is a project.  MUST be a manual transmission; three OD or 4
speed.  Close to Florida a big plus.
