Saturday Follies (ot)18 Jun 2006 20:54 GMT2
(OT) only because I didn't work on any Stude stuff Saturday...
But did work on laminating new countertop in the master bath...
Didn't want to tear out a built in vanity with all the wallpaper re-do.....
Cabinets are ok, but the countertop was so....sixties..

N8' s old  Daytona is on my assembly line18 Jun 2006 15:39 GMT1
We pulled the engine today so I could replace the clutch and paint
under the hood. Once that is done, I need to paint the inside of the
trunk, the wheels and find some 1 1/2 inch white wall tires.
Thanks N818 Jun 2006 06:23 GMT4
I always give N8 flack about his anal nature, but I'm now working on his
old Daytona and I may have to rethink that. Taking apart a car with a
bunch of stainless hardware covered in anti-seize is a joy.

I have noticed the last two times I have filled up in my '63 Lark R1,
I've made sure I didn't overfill it at the station, drove it several
miles, park it awhile, no leaks, then...I'll let the car sit outside in
the driveway for several hours, come back, and there'll be a round

Secret serial number18 Jun 2006 00:55 GMT53
I have a question about the mysterious secret serial number. As you
recall a few weeks ago I asked about the restoration of a 'real' R2 GT
Hawk using a donor car to save the storm damaged car. The general
consensus was that it a restoration of a existing car. After posting the
Any one want to buy a '62 GT?17 Jun 2006 21:13 GMT9
My old '63 re-surfaced after many years. It is the first Stude I ever
"finished", and the nicest. Dispite the Rose Mist color, I loved that
car. I would like to buy it back, but first must let go of my '62. Here
is the skinny.
Musings.......17 Jun 2006 19:18 GMT9
Killed my old 'ergonomic' keyboard yesterday morning with a perfectly placed
cup of coffee.
Klutz.
Had to go back to a spare backup keyboard.

Yes, I have a R-3 in my Dodge, but it's in the bed.

I picked up my museum engine today.  I took lumber and tools to make a
cradle for it, but decided that since it is on a reinforced engine stand, it
