Sunday car show08 Jun 2006 03:16 GMT8
I went to a show in New London, WI today and had a great time.  Picture
a perfect sunny day with the temp in the mid 70's.  The setting was an
old city park with mature trees and old stone park buildings.  There
were about 300 cars there with a good mix of rods and originals and

Does anyone have any tips on replacing the power steering hoses on a 1976
Avanti II. I have removed the right and left turnhoses and have replaced the
end on the cylinder. I don't know how I ever did anything like this before I
got my lift. It is really nice to sit or stand and ...

Changing Perspectives07 Jun 2006 16:02 GMT12
Spent a hot Oklahoma day at a car show today.  Felt good to get out of town,
and away from the recent mess I have gotten myself into.
298 cars registered at the show, many others shown, but not judged.  'Sheba
came home empty handed today, and that's OK, the competition was STRONG ...

Ypsilanti Orphan Car Show07 Jun 2006 14:45 GMT1
Just posted some pics from last Sunday's Ypsi show...largest orphan car show
in the world. Takes place on the banks of the Huron River in Ypsilanti,
Michigan. Lots of Studes as usual and a great 'pass in review' narrated by
some guru's of auto history. Great show.

Waited a month to get out of NC, Car is awesome, looks better than the
pics.  Runs like a clock and that even works.  Don't understand while
the previous owner let it go, Even for the 13.5 G's I paid..  Looks to
be a great one, so if any hurricanes show up in the Gulf this year me
loud fuel pump?07 Jun 2006 12:26 GMT15
got my R1 engine to idle yesterday...  only odd noise I hear is the fuel
pump, it's rather loud.  There is a bit of slop in the arm, can't tell
without disassembling it whether it's in the pivot or at the inside end.
Checked a couple more pumps that JP had laying around and ...

A Burnt Valve???07 Jun 2006 07:06 GMT2
It appears that I may have run into a burned valve in my Studebaker experience.
Lately, the T-Cab has been running worse than it ever has, missing on at
least two cylinders.  Did a compression test (dry) and all cylinders
have at least 120 lbs except for #8 which has 30.  Squirted a ...

NIB Grille07 Jun 2006 04:07 GMT3
My friend up in MN acquired a supposedly new in box grille for, as he says,
a Studebaker "something or other".  I don't know what kind of shape its in,
but he says it's pretty nice.. Got it at a swap meet.  Has the part number
1342523W on the box.  Anyone know what it is for?
