CK Battery Relocation27 Jun 2006 18:48 GMT12
Cleaning up the engine compartment and decided to relocate the battery.  I
intend on using a dry cell and 00 gauge to run to the front.  I plan on
running a #8 tap to the dashboard.  I had considered a drop down box for the
battery but that's not feasible.  I even considered ...
Had a brake problem today...27 Jun 2006 15:44 GMT6
Drove my '50 2R5 the three miles into town today; went to the grocery
store. Unfortunately, I had a little problem.
When trying to back out of the parking stall, I only moved about 5 feet
before I killed it. I realized quickly that the brakes were locked up.

Bad weekend27 Jun 2006 13:55 GMT6
For the most part my luck was not the best. . . besides screwing up the Gas
Tank and needing a new one for the Sky Hawk. Had prepped the air cleaner,
valve covers, oil pan for paint but the air cleaner was a little rusty so I
used por-15 on it and sanding the primer the por-15 ...

Would this thing do any better than my shop vac?  I'm getting all kinds of
dust blowing out through the exhaust on it... vacuum is no longer gray, it's
a reddish-brown as are the newly painted walls surrounding ...

Fan radiator distance?27 Jun 2006 00:01 GMT13
The fan on my 59 Lark 6 is a fair way, about 2 1/2" from the radiator. This
seems to be a long way considering the other vehicles I have worked on over
the years. Pulling the radiator on some cars I have owned took great care
not to scrape the fins of the radiator with the blades ...
anyone sell rubber piece for C-body side windows?26 Jun 2006 21:26 GMT3
I need the rubber piece that holds the bottom of the door glass into its
metal channel for my '55 C-body, at York I asked Bill Fennessey about
this and he said it wasn't a special molded part, well guess what, it
*is* a special molded part, and SASCO doesn't have any, or at least ...
Dyed my floorboard carpet instead of replace, looks good - IMG_0762.JPG (0/1)26 Jun 2006 21:21 GMT2
I pulled carpet from the front to check out the condition of the floor
boards on my Daytona convertible. The carpet wasn't worn, just faded.
I had it lying on my basement floor and remembered buying a can of
spray dye a few months back. (Plasti-kote fabric color 510 Ebony).  I
Remote Brake Fluid Reservoirs on Hawks?26 Jun 2006 18:43 GMT3
Has any one used these on their car?    It looks like it would be great
on a Hawk.  It should fit right  on to the Turner Brake dual MC bracket
I have installed.
