I am working on a 64 Champ half ton and all four drums are shot.  I
know about the Chevy drum conversion but am wondering if that requires
use of Chevy wheels also.  I'm not a truck guy but I know there are a
few of you out there...  Anyone done the conversion and kept the

I had this overheating problem in my 65 sedan and I think I have it
solved.  Since the car only has a 194 it didnt make sence to me to have
to install a heavy duty radiator. So I decided to install a mechanicla
temperature gage so I could have an idea of waht the real temperature

   I'm finishing the 24,000 mile 4 speed Daytona I sold to N8 a few
years ago and bought back. I pulled the engine to detail under the hood
and replace the clutch. (It had been stuck to the flywheel from sitting
and damaged the disk) Once I'm done with that, just need to detail ...

I just got my August '06 edition of Hemmings Classic Car to find to my
joy that it features Studebakers this month. Wheee! But, I can't seem
to be able to find a single '55 in it yet.

Successfully delivered the engine for my buyer to Jon and Mike Myer this
afternoon for checkout/rehab.
I had never been to his shop before.  I am impressed.  He has six or seven
major restorations going on- first class work.  I got a tour of his shop,
