evilBay Stude / former Midway Chapter car09 Jul 2006 06:44 GMT1
It's listed again, crew - this used to belong to Wayne Harader, and
it's a very nice car. Should still run & drive very nicely. The paint
had some chips, but that didn't stop it from winning trophies 2 years
in a row at Darryl Starbird's show in Wichita. His BIN is a bit high,
Computer woes OFF TOPIC09 Jul 2006 05:56 GMT21
My computer suffered a near-fatal crash, but is still breathing. It can do
most of the functions I need, but many files (and drivers) were either lost
or corrupt enough that some programs, like FrontPage, which I use
constantly, won't function.

Lark VI Conversion09 Jul 2006 03:20 GMT5
Seeing a lot of 59-61 Larks with flatheads around and on ebay.  How

Staying retired in Florida09 Jul 2006 02:32 GMT6
I got a real nice email from the Swede saying thanks but no thanks on
my 38.  I kind of figured that and almost breathed a sigh of relief.
Maybe in a couple years I might put it on the market with a realistic
price, but for now I hope to start enjoying it.  I searched for quite a

intake manifold clamps?08 Jul 2006 23:41 GMT13
Anyone else have problems with the intake manifold clamps cracking when
attempting to torque them to spec?  I've had my intake off and on quite
a bit while fitting everything, and after destroying quite a few clamps
I have just stopped using a torque wrench and tightening them ...

you got a gas tank for me. . .
Thanks!

1963 Lark re-pro dash cover installation08 Jul 2006 12:19 GMT6
I purchased a dash cover from Studebaker International . They don't
include any instructions.I only have one question, and that is what type
of adhesive should be used? I remember seeing on the newsgroup back
around winter time where someone had installed one in an R-2 Lark and
Persistent Swede08 Jul 2006 06:10 GMT3
I got another call and an email today from the Swede trying to buy my
38 Commander.  I am just now getting the car sorted to where I can
start enjoying it and this guy is wanting it...although he has never
seen it either in pics or in person.  I figure if he wants it bad

"Some Thoughts on Restoring a Studebaker" book08 Jul 2006 02:51 GMT3
I thought I'd mention that I just listed the last 20 copies of the new
book on eBay, to start at 8:00EDT tonight. I'll be getting more
printed, but I'll be traveling for a while for a non-profit I'm
involved with, so the second printing won't be until early August.
