Ever notice the first lark (1959) and the last Lark types (1966) both
had Hawk emblems on the grille?
The tail lights are the same.30 Jul 2006 21:00 GMT2
After researching, I find that "The '55 Conestoga taillights and
housings are unchanged from '54"--TW Mar 94, page 20.  They were
unchanged because they used the same rear bumper '54-'55.  So now I
have THREE sets of '54 taillights!!  Of course, if I ever buy a '55

Yellow  Studebaker30 Jul 2006 12:09 GMT9
Don't know why, but yellow 60 rag tops are just too cute to resist. I
bought this one this A.M. even though it has some fender rust. (comes
with new fenders though)

Avanti Records30 Jul 2006 03:34 GMT8
I've been told the following are truths!  Any one know if they all are?
Amazing Facts
It's a fact: The rear window popped out of early production Avantis if
driven over 100 mph!
Emergency brake cables.30 Jul 2006 03:30 GMT2
What type of grease, if any, should one use on the rear brake cable. the one
that goes to both wheels.
I have one off a 63, that I have freed up, from rust, and is now in
servicable condition. I'd like it to stay that way.
Avanti Hard Top Project30 Jul 2006 02:06 GMT7
I have always thought the Studebaker Avanti would look better as a hard

The wing windows look like they would go down into the rear fenders
