To all of you: I must send my thanks to whoever sent me the one about rat poop in the glue on envelopes because I now have to use a wet towel with every envelope that needs sealing.

| Onan and Studebaker | 26 Jul 2006 06:30 GMT | 8 |
I recently started work at Onan in Minnesota which was formerly owned by Studebaker, and is now owned by Cummins. While looking around the shop last week I noticed an old sheet metal working machine that had a Studebaker Corp. tag. Also, while in orientation today we where shown

| R4 Intake Part # | 26 Jul 2006 04:37 GMT | 1 |
My R4 Intake has a part number in raised cast numbers. It is 1555811. The parts catalog says the R4 intake part number is 1563068. Any ideas on wht the numbers don't match? As far as I know, Studebaker did not make a dual four barrell intake for any other models.

How often do you change the oil flex tube on your garage lizzard? I am referring to the rubber hose the comes off the engine block and attached to the oil pressure gauge line.

| Are the taillights on the '55 Conestoga the same as '54 sedan taillights? | 26 Jul 2006 03:55 GMT | 2 |
I won an auction on ebay for '55 Conestoga taillights, thinking they'd be a little flashier on my '54 LC. When I compared them, they look exactly the same as the ones on the car now. Are they? I know ones for the sedan are bigger than the '54s and wrap around a

| Rust free ? | 26 Jul 2006 03:09 GMT | 4 |
I hate to use the term rust free on any Studebaker, but my new 51 is about as close as you can get. The only "rust" is on some of the unpainted bits, or where stones chipped the factory chassis paint. I'll just steam clean the Az. dust off the chassis and quit.

| STP History question | 26 Jul 2006 01:33 GMT | 9 |
Correct me f I am wrong, but didn't Studebaker acquire the STP label when they sought to diversify the companys holdings? Do you have a timeline reguarding when they got it and when the got rid of it? Didn't they sell it to Granatelli?

| Thought I fixed it | 25 Jul 2006 08:14 GMT | 9 |
When we first got the Hawk it had a problem, the Headlight switch could not power both headlights and dash lights at the same time. A few years ago I purchased a new headlight switch and it accept both headlight and dash lights. Years ago, you could tell the headlight switch ...

| Idiots <OT> | 25 Jul 2006 00:45 GMT | 5 |
Funny thing happened last week. On Airport Road a guy in a new GTO pulled up to a light next to a Mustang GT with darkened windows and started revving his engine, trying to get the guy in the Mustang to race. The light changed and the GTO took off, pulling ahead of the
