I have come across (in my search for another) a '64 Daytona hardtop
w/bucket seats, powershift, & now listen to this - 259 P.S. drum brakes
with factory air, even has an underhood lite. Even the right color,
red!

wanted: one finned brake drum, either a front with right hand threads,
or a rear with left hand threads.  Will trade drum with opposite threads
or buy outright.  (I have three drums with RH threads and a front with
LH threads)

Does any one know for sure if Studebaker used any asbestos in the heat
shielding for the firewall under the dash in the 59 Lark? Did they use it on
the roof between the headliner and the roof sheet metal? Was the sound
deadener/ heat shield under the hood for some of the models ...

This nice 51 Commander with a "stuck" engine was delivered last night
at 11PM. I was so anxious to work on it that N8 and I left the zone meet
early. We started working on it a 1 PM, and it was running by 3 PM. His
"rebuilt" starter was junk and jamming the flywheel, N8 did his ...

I recently purchased the August issue of Hemmings Classic Car, which is
dedicated to Studebaker.  There is a little blurb about the Studebaker
Museum in South Bend getting some new vehicles.  One of the vehicles is
the 51 Commander used in the Muppet Movie.  Has anyone seen it yet ...
