I was testing the horn circuit and found the problem. The wire that goes down the centre of the steering column has over-heated and burn off. I have pulled the wire out (big mistake) Where does this wire come out of the centre of the steering column? I now have the entire thing ...

Should the hole in a late model V8 water pump face up down or does it even matter? I have seen them installed both ways. Its not like you can put oil in the hole with the pulley installed anyways.
