Carbon Arc Torch (somewhat OT)03 Aug 2006 04:37 GMT4
I just recently inherited an arc welder from an old friend that passed on.
I have some experience welding and have a whole list of projects lined up,
many of them related to my Studebaker. I also got a carbon arc torch that
goes with the welder. I have no idea how to use it. Has ...
58 Wagons03 Aug 2006 04:19 GMT4
How much did the 58 Packard Wagons weigh?
How much heavier were they compared to the 58 Provincials?
Fake 23203 Aug 2006 03:38 GMT14
I decided to install a 289 I had laying around in the 51 and make it
look like a stock 232. Converted to 4 bolt rockers, took the check
valves out of the stock fuel pump to use it as a "pass through" from the
late pump.

Year or 3 ago there was a thread going about a flock of Studes and various
old foreign cars up in the Northwest. The pics showed a barn with a lot of
signage and IIRC there was some talk of the son of the owner thinking of
selling the cars,possibly having a auction.Anyone ever do ...

oil filter prices02 Aug 2006 17:11 GMT16
Had been paying NAPA over $11.00 for a #1006 oil filter for the 259 in my
'55 President.  Was in a Farm Supply store yesterday and bought a Fram C-4
for $7.06 with the tax.  This should appeal to you tight-wad Studebaker
types. Funny, pay premium money for synthetic oil and then ...

Competition Plus shifter used for a Stude T10 is on backorder, but Jeg's

web site if anyone else is doing the same thing I am (swapping to a ...
