-OT-12v adapter for my laptop?25 Aug 2006 03:48 GMT16
Toshiba does not offer a 12 volt adapter for my laptop. I'm thinking of
buying the 75 watt inverter sold by Radio Shack. Does this setup have the
potential to harm a laptop? Any recommendations for something better? (I
got Streets and Trips last month for my birthday)

Spark Plug Question24 Aug 2006 22:38 GMT5
The current Champion listings show an RH18Y rather than the old H14Y for
a '64 259.  Is anyone aware of any problem with this substitution?

Big, big Wink's meet this Saturday 8/26 in Barberton, OH24 Aug 2006 17:06 GMT1
Just a reminder that the big Wink's meet is this Saturday 8/26/06 in
Barberton, OH.  We usually have 120-140 Studes, easily, and last year
there were about ten Packards.  The official time is 3-11 although
Studes start showing up around noon.  There is a fifties band in the
Crankshaft felt seal question. Help !!!!!!!24 Aug 2006 14:59 GMT4
Where on the timing and crank gear cover should I drill the holes so as
to allow excessive oil to drain from the felt seal somewhere other than
my driveway. Thanks  jimmijim

R1 Engine Rebuild24 Aug 2006 10:29 GMT33
The R1 engine in my 63 Wagonaire sat around and froze up because the PO
did not take proper care and water was sitting in one of the cylinders
with the piston 2/3rds up.  Now the one cylinder is scored from the
corrosion.  I managed to clean it up and the engine turns ok.  I have

Drove Both Studes to Work Today24 Aug 2006 03:07 GMT8
It has been a long, hot dry spell of long hours and dry, 100+ degree days,
so the Studes have not seen much action lately.
They have hired a replacement for me, so things are lightening up somewhat.
Was a nice day today, so I drove 'Sheba to work this morning, came home for

Vendor feedback wanted23 Aug 2006 23:34 GMT4
I need a windshield for a 62 Daytona.  I called Phillips Glass and Vic told
me it would be 3 to 4 weeks out for delivery.  I bought a windshield from
him for my 59 Lark and was pleased with it, but I need one for the 62 sooner
than a month.  Has anyone had any experience with ...
65 Fuel Pump Problem23 Aug 2006 21:33 GMT2
This morning when I was going to work, I started the Cruiser as usual
and got it backed about halfway out of the garage when it died. It
restarted easily, I figured the choke just didn't get set and tried
again. This time it died and would not restart. I have a full tank of
