I have a non-TT 3.54 rear end in the 54 Coupe, with the new motor I'm
concerned about the tapered azles. Would I be better off converting to
flanged axles or using a brand X swap, and for those recommending the

I cant be the only person that this happened to. I dropped the
speedometer pinion gear into the tranny case when installing it. How do
I get it out? Is there an easy way or do I have to pull the

I've found a speedo cable for the early 4-speed pinion adapter; would
like to buy or trade for either a pinion adapter for a 3.73:1 rear axle
ratio or else a later cable that accepts the removable gears.  I have
the pinion adapter with the gear for a 3.31:1 axle ratio for possible

I saw only 2 Studebakers, a late 2-tone green '53 Champion coupe with
early wheel covers, nice interior (but drab) and exceptionally nice
