I finally got this rarely seen Studebaker Parts ad from about 1953 framed.

I'm putting together a early 289, customer has purchased the aluminum
finned valley cover and vlv covers. The cover is set up for a road
draft tube but we'd like to go to a pcv valve.
Anybody ever done this and if so can you clue me in on the details. The

63 Lark,V-8,auto,four door. Its rusty(even the frame). I think Ill shoot it
in the head and sell the parts on E-Bay. Only paid 400 bucks,and I needed
some of the little stuff for the Cruiser.
The engines stuck but Im going to try and get it freed up.

finally got my car up on the lift today to hopefully patch the oil pan;
also saw where the drieshaft was hitting - one of the screws that holds
the rear seat armrest to the floorpan.  Not a big deal.
However, it still looks like a smaller diameter driveshaft would be the

Ok,
now for the sleeving.  There have been about 5 messages on this over
the past 8 years.  but none in the past 4.
1. what is preferred, brass or stainless steel.

found a hulk in a local u-pull it junk yard and it had been sitting for
a long time. the only Ident. I have found so far is that it is a 4 door
stude, with "passmaster" on the valve covers. the intake is gone as is
most of the trim and all badges. this is a salt belt poster child.

Im just getting caught up on the ng now,it was quite a weekend,and quite a
show.
Last years was better for three reasons
