'39 Coupe Express project update23 Sep 2006 01:47 GMT2
The guy in Tallahassee who's having the world-class '39 CE built sent
me a few pictures of the progress. For those that don't know, this
beast will have a Stude R1 engine under its hood.
The floors and firewall are all new.

If anyone takes pictures at the meet and would like them posted on the

Where can I get a blank ignition key for my '55? Blank #: Y-13923 Sep 2006 00:12 GMT3
I'd like to make a duplicate of my '55 ignition key, just in case I
ever lose the original. My local Ace doesn't have one. It's blank #:
Y-139. Anyone know where I can purchase one?
Thanks in advance.,
Cylinder Head Gasket Sealer?22 Sep 2006 16:21 GMT2
I bought the thick cylinder head gaskets for the R1 Wagonaire engine
(Victor 1100)
I know you are supposed to use a sealer on the thinner steel cylinder
head gaskets but do not know if I should on these thicker ones.  They
Heading out for Omaha22 Sep 2006 16:19 GMT6
Tomorrow morning I am heading out for Omaha. I will be driving, but
unfortunately not a Studebaker.  I am going to make it a leisurely
trip.  I'll try to keep in touch if I can get hook ups for my lap top
(not staying in the meet hotel).
Studebaker stories.22 Sep 2006 12:25 GMT1
I'm with the Keystone Region Chapter SDC. The editor of our Keynotes
resigned and I was asked to help the new editor with the magazine. I am
looking for interesting Studebaker stories. I know there are plenty out
there. If anyone has a story to tell and would like it printed in ...
New bellhousing and starter22 Sep 2006 02:53 GMT8
For those going to Omaha, stop by my booth (Fairborn Studebaker) and
see an all new bellhousing and high torque starter for the Stude V8.
The bellhousing will accept a TKO 500 and can be used with mechanical

Does anyone have a good place to get (relatively) cheap brake parts?
I have a 50 2R10 and need to totally redo the brakes.
Thanks!

Jeep is being recalled because of an emissions problem.
Apparently the computer doesn't sense a failing catalytic converter like
it's supposed to, so what they want to do is reprogram the computer and

Big 6 oil question21 Sep 2006 15:31 GMT4
The big 6 in the 54 pickup leaks a fair amount of oil if it's started
after sitting for a day or two, looks like it may be coming from the
timing cover area. If it's been run it doesn't seem to leak. Any thoughts?
