Restoring a 63 Lark 2 door sedan it is the Custom trim level.  Around
the glass, on the exterior of the doors, there are three pieces of
stainless trim.  It looks as though they were compression fitted on at
the factory.  On two of the pieces, have two tabs that fold over on the
What a trailer !31 Oct 2006 05:18 GMT9
A must read thread for Lee A.  It'll take a hour to get through it
on a cable connection, but worth every minute of it. (from the SDC forum)

Spent the weekend as a course worker at Maxton, North Carolina for the
finals for the 2006 season of the East Coast Timing Association's speed
trials. Look at the pictures and tell me what is missing -- yep, no
Studebakers.  I know there as some fast Studes out there, I would like

Marathon Gasoline and STP30 Oct 2006 16:27 GMT1
Marathon ( http://www.marathon.com/ ) just ran a TV commercial touting the
addition of STP products being added to their fuel.
Commercial showed a gas pump with an STP sticker on it.
Kind of nostalgic in a way....
Studebaker tin badge question30 Oct 2006 15:12 GMT1
Are there any trivia experts out there?  I have a tin badge about 2" in
diameter, which shows a bunch of people holding hands, while circling
an aerial view of the South Bend factory.  In red around the edge of
the badge, it says: 'Citizens for Studebaker Inc.'  Any idea what this

Which Kenwood cassette/reciever fits Studebaker?29 Oct 2006 20:27 GMT7
I am looking for an aftermarket radio for my Avanti.  I saw a Kenwood
model posted here quite a while back that will fit the 6.25" shaft
spacing of the Studes.  Does anybody remember the model number that
fits or is adjustable to fit?
Reedsville weather29 Oct 2006 14:20 GMT7
As usual, the prediction is for the weather to turn nasty for
Reedsville. Highs in the 40's with possible rain all 3 days. Might
charge by the meet though.
Strange Stromberg WW Carb...29 Oct 2006 14:01 GMT9
While checking my "treasure" during my recent trip back east, I stumbled
on a weighty object and it turned out to be a Stromberg WW (later down
draft with the choke housing on the base plate).  The linkage is not
quite the same as a Stude and there is a curious black electrical
