Sharing a Christmas Tradition26 Dec 2006 04:14 GMT5
The song, The 12 Days of Christmas inspires my Christmas tree, although I
never could really quite understand the significance of a cartridge in a
bare tree. None the less, I put the tree up in my shop each year:

Royal wire wheels.25 Dec 2006 19:09 GMT1
Who was the OEM for the Royal wire wheels? I think I have been told
that these exact wheels were also used on Buicks (except of course for
different snap-on centers for the Buicks).  Where they by chance made
by Kelsey-Hayes?  They made wheels for Cadillacs, Edsels, Thunderbirds,

Vacuum Gauges on 56 Hawks25 Dec 2006 15:27 GMT2
Hey guys, Does anybody know if the vacuum gauge was offered as an
option on the 1956 Sky Hawks (56H)? They were standard equipment on the
Golden Hawks (56J) but I am trying to figure out if they could be had
as a factory option on other Hawks? I got a vacuum gauge out of a 56J
I've gone over to the DARK SIDE...25 Dec 2006 12:42 GMT24
OK, I am an official heretic. After many months of agonizing, I took the Cruiser to my cousin's auto accessories shop, and had him cut the dash and install a CD player.
My Studebaker advisor counseled me to "let the purists worry about the dash when you're dead and gone..." and so ...

Sad day in my neighborhood24 Dec 2006 09:20 GMT19
Yesterday, I sold a 61 Champ, but the big news in my neighborhood and lead
story on Houston's newscasts was not as happy.  The neighbors next door to
me were preparing to have their friends and extended family over yesterday
afternoon to celebrate their son's 3rd birthday after ...

Hezzy Kappus RIP24 Dec 2006 07:45 GMT3
Hezzy Kappus passed away about a week ago.  He was well known in

cars in general.

I dialed a number and got the following recording:
"I am not available right now, but thank you for caring enough to call.  I
am making some changes in my life.  Please leave a message after the beep.
If I do not return your call, you are one of the changes."
