need fenders hauled from York to central Florida15 Feb 2007 22:21 GMT1
Have a couple of Studebaker fenders - rear quarters - that need hauled from
York to central FL; anyone interested and how much?  It may defray some of
your gas cost if you've got the room.   Clermont FL - north west of Orlando.

Didn't a pair of these go for a ridiculous sum not long ago?

Microcrap Vista O.T.15 Feb 2007 06:23 GMT37
I should have known better, but I listened to my son telling me I
needed Microsoft Vista since I have a 64 bit computer and "need" the 64
bit operating system. I head out to buy the software and find nothing
but a 32 bit version. Since the main reason to upgrade is the 64 bit,
Consumer reports15 Feb 2007 04:43 GMT1
As far as putting faith in Consumer Reports go,
I have personally seen that your chances for a better report is equal
to the level of dinners and gifts given to the testing engineers.
Old Navy Joke Calvin Will Like To See Again... (ot) (humor)15 Feb 2007 04:28 GMT2
A young Navy Officer was in a terrible car accident, but due to the heroics
of the hospital staff the only permanent injury was the loss of one ear.
Since he wasn't physically impaired he remained in the military and
eventually became an Admiral.  However, during his career he was ...
59 Scotsman truck update.15 Feb 2007 02:08 GMT7
The Caddy swap is about as done as it will get, took it for a spin
around the block, but am waiting for it to get a bit warmer before
driving to the muffler shop to get the rest of the exhaust installed.
(Just a jury rigged system right now.) I could have done the swap for
Damn reclining buckets14 Feb 2007 13:25 GMT1
Got the gear pieces from Mr Myers - steel like they ought to be. Put the
whole mes back together and the seat back is nice and solid - and
reclined at about a 40 degree angle. Seems the bracket on the seat
bottom is bent backwards.
New Daytona14 Feb 2007 03:52 GMT3
Just did a little clean up on this 60,000 mile, survivor 64 Daytona.
Factory carpets are weak, as are the front seats, but it's a unmolested
California car.

What are AN fittings?13 Feb 2007 02:54 GMT6
This may seem simple, but no one has ever explained it to me.  What
are AN fittings?  I see them in all my catalogs and they look good.
Are they like the double flare fittings I make for my brake lines?
Are there special tools needed to use them?
Not Studebaker, but auto related!13 Feb 2007 01:57 GMT2
Just read an interesting article in the Wall Street Journal. It seems
that an auto dealer's group has met with the Big 3(sic) and has told
them the following:
Aircraft ID <OT>13 Feb 2007 01:46 GMT13
I've found an old photograph that my Grandfather took of what I believe
to be a Lockheed Electra, registration number NX 51800.
The photo is probably from the late 30's or early 40's and has about 6
men standing in front of the plane.
