After getting the engine and tranny installed, I was wondering how much clearance is needed between the flywheel that is welded to the torque converter and the bell housing. The area in question is just inside where the starter where there is a hump that gets close to the flywheel ...

The Jeeps (96 Cherokee, 4.0) been acting strangely lately, sometimes it seems like its down on power, the gas pedal has felt hard, and the idle has been weird, sometimes slow, (especially at startup, even with the engine hot)and sometimes fast, like about 1200 rpm.

I noticed the Commander AT would not kick down into passing gear and was ready to adjust the throttle linkage to the transmission only to find it had none ! It seems the shop that converted the car to a automatic left that out. I need ALL of the throttle linkage for a 64 six ...

Seems like we've been through this before but... The seat in my Champ pickup is a big, fat bench, it's got a broken spring, the cover is bad, and it's just too fat, both the bottom cushion and the back.
