I am buying a drive on 4 post lift for my shop and will be selling my

Rear hub and key on axle question18 Mar 2007 03:16 GMT3
I'm ready to put the rear hub/drums back on the axle.  The shop manual isn't
clear about the assembly order.  Do I put the hub/drum on first and then the
key or put the key on first and slide the hub/drum over it?
Thanks,
Tire clearance question17 Mar 2007 23:31 GMT15
Has anyone had any experience running P235R75x15 tires on a Lark-type
Studebaker?  I used them on my '64 Avanti with no clearance problems (other
than bumping the wheel opening on a hard turn with a bump), but Larks have
an entirely different wheel opening).  I would like to use ...

OK...  at York I was looking for the stuff to get the right gear for my
speedo drive so that my speedo would read accurately with a 3.73:1 rear
end... one major vendor took my info and promised to look when he got
home.  Sho 'nuff, today I come home and there's a box on the porch ...

289 V8 Problem-Advice Appreciated17 Mar 2007 18:03 GMT8
The 289 V8 in my 56 Sky Hawk has been getting unhappy over the past
few months and I want to see what you think the root problem is.
Since I've had it the oil pressure has been low when warm, delivering
barely 10PSI per 1000 RPM.  More recently I have noted that when you
Weird R-Series Truck17 Mar 2007 06:51 GMT2
Found this on a website with tons of pics of WWII to late '60's cars
and parts. The country code on the phone number is Austria.
The roof appears to be from a '55-'57 Chevy wagon, the top rear
fenders from a '55-'56 Ford, and no clus on the lower rear fenders.
Internal Tooth Springrip Retainers17 Mar 2007 03:51 GMT6
That's they're called, anybody have a source for these?  I need about a half dozen for a .156 shaft (or just over 1/8").

Question about emergency brake17 Mar 2007 02:32 GMT2
I am assembling the rear brakes and I think I might be missing a part.
There is a bar that goes below the wheel cylinder that connects to the brake
shoes.  This bar is a fulcrum for the parking brake lever so that when the
parking brake cable is pulled, the shoe will press against ...

1964 Daytona Radiator Hoses16 Mar 2007 04:13 GMT1
I need to replace the upper and lower radiator hoses on my Dayona HT
equipped with a 259 engine.  I need part numbers and the store or
person that has them.  I looked today and there is a 1992 date on the
top hose.  I doubt that these 15 year old hoses will hold up to the
