Large stock of used Stude stuff needs to be sold17 Apr 2007 01:02 GMT3
I received the following email from Bob Peterson, Castro Valley, CA in
response to my email of another subject.  He has lost his storage yard and
is parting out a bunch of cars.  He is planning to make South Bend and will
deliver there.

Pat Dilling's contact info, please16 Apr 2007 20:37 GMT2
Guys,
I would like to get in contact with Pat about the LS1 engine he
installed in his '53. I am planning a similar swap and could use a few
tips.  He can also contact me, if he likes.
Crazy idea of using a silver hawk body to retrofit a golden hawk16 Apr 2007 20:33 GMT11
I know that this might be crazy, but the body on my 57 Golden Hawk is
severely rusted out in the driver and passenger front floors to the
point where there is no longer any metal left under the door pillars
and/or running boards.  I have seen a few Silver Hawks of the same
How does this fit on?16 Apr 2007 17:36 GMT7
A peice of trim fell off my stude and for the life of me, I can't
figure out how it goes back on.  There doesn't appear to be any way to
get at it from the backside.  Pictures are at the link below.

saturday follies (OT)15 Apr 2007 15:32 GMT6
For the past week, I've been pushing hard to get my driveway exposed.  I
know I've mentioned this before, but the previous owners of my house
were total eco-freaks; most of the guy's ideas were good, but apparently
he was obsessive-compulsive about composting etc.  I've got 12" ...

Daytona relisted14 Apr 2007 06:40 GMT1
The high bidder backed out due to money concerns, so it's back up. He
was kind enough to pay my ebay fees, so no big deal.

Rumors about Studebaker Museum tainted history14 Apr 2007 05:33 GMT20
Being an ex-journalist, I want to be very careful about what I have
been told about the history of the Studebaker Museum.  I wanted to
post this information, however, to get some feedback that this is
either false information, old information, or still a problem or never

R3 header fit mystery13 Apr 2007 22:58 GMT8
Had a 289 with R3 headers in a 63 Cruiser, swapped the motor (another
289) and moved the headers over to it. Got it on the motor and
transmission mounts and the bottom of one header rubs hard on the
steering arm. Looked at an R1 Avanti with the same headers and there's
Turning rear drums?13 Apr 2007 12:59 GMT5
I took my rear drums in to O'Reilly's to get them turned and they said they
couldn't turn them with the hub on.  This doesn't make any sense because
they turned the front drums with also have a hub.  They also said that they
couldn't turn them with the hub off the drum.  Is there ...

Cylinder Head blueprint12 Apr 2007 13:58 GMT9
I was told that one could buy a blueprint of the Studebaker V8 cylinder
head. Is this true? If so, where can I purchase a set? Are there any other
Studebaker blueprints available?
Thanks,
