Need a 4-bbl dry air cleaner for '63 Lark07 Jun 2007 19:34 GMT1
Been searching a while and no joy yet, but I need a 4bbl dry air cleaner for
my '63 Lark. It has a WCFB on it, not an AFB. Rusty is ok :) as long as it's
all there. An Avanti cleaner with bad chrome is fine too...
Hoping someone's got one!

Fuel system question06 Jun 2007 22:22 GMT7
This is for one of you 'very mechanical' guys.  I need to know if an
original Carter fuel pump on a '55 V-8 would have an 'anti drain back valve'
in it.  Here's my dilemna.  After sitting a week or so, I give the gas pedal
i/2 throttle, let off, hit the key and it fires before ...

JDP, did you tell me once that a certain shade of Sherwin Willliams
paint is a good touch-up for Ermine White?
Thanks,

positive ground 1954 studebaker champion06 Jun 2007 18:52 GMT9

flywheel.  Would there be a distinct "engagement" sound or feel?   Steve

Is this accurate?06 Jun 2007 17:16 GMT15
I had a European educated engineer tell me that the reason auto
manufacturers changed from positive ground electrical systems to negative
ground systems was that it was found that positive ground systems enhanced
corrosion of the vehicles.  Does that make any sense??????
