pondering as I put things back together29 Aug 2007 00:13 GMT8
Are the rear hubs supposed to have dust caps like the front
ones?  My Hawk only has caps on the front wheels, and I
think that's odd.  I'm tired of trying to locate information
in those shop manuals, but I'm just about done, so no point

I just received the publication, "Super Studebakers" from the
Studebaker National Museum.  I am actually dissapointed with this
$35.00 publication that consists of 36 pages and counts the cover and
table of contents as pages 1 and 2.

Jeff-
I responded to two of your emails last night, both got rejected by "server."
Your server, my server, doesn't matter... rejected is rejected.  I also
tried to respond to you through SDC's forum, no response from you.
TorqThrust wheels?28 Aug 2007 20:31 GMT2
Just got back from trying to order new wheels for 63 Avanti. Thought I'd
have the tire shop double-check backspace and offset, so we would not do a
foolish expensive thing...They finally found one guy there who knew how to
measure backspace. Then they got the distributor on the ...

We won against the restoration shop28 Aug 2007 01:54 GMT5
Just got back from my first gig as a expect witness in a trial for
damages against a restoration shop that pretty much destroyed a 53
Starlight belonging to a SDC member. We won a 32K judgment for damages
to a once condition 2 starlight with R3 clone and 4 speed. The guys
Upgrading  my  steering  in  1955 --  mounting the  PS  pump27 Aug 2007 18:31 GMT2
I  have  one issue  in terms  of  mounting the  1962/63   PS  pump   and  I
thought  that I  could  use the  bracket  bought  from Studebaker  Intl

is  1957  GH  engine.  Is  there  a way  to  get this  later ...
Question on  oil additive.27 Aug 2007 16:26 GMT7
Have been following most of the posts on oil and which kinds are best to use
in our older engines but was wondering if anybody had any knowledge or
experiances with of any of the "Slick 50" products. I think it is has a
teflon base. They made them for both engines and ...
Bad Ground?26 Aug 2007 17:30 GMT5
Working on my extended project 59 Lark Hardtop.  259, auto, 12volt w/
generator.  I have not had this car running in about three years
because of it's "dissassembly".  Progressed to the point that I am
attempting to get it started now.  When cranking, the battery

Stude key blanks26 Aug 2007 03:19 GMT7
Had a hardware store owner tell me that he won't cut keys for
"antique" cars, because the key blanks are made of such hard metal
that they ruin the cutting wheel on the key cutter.
Anyone ever heard of such? He's a guy in his 60's who's been doing
Key from build sheet code26 Aug 2007 03:19 GMT1
