| Slant 6 Stude truck? | 10 Oct 2007 20:36 GMT | 10 |
I was given a good pre 1971 slant 6 225 with 727 auto. Anybody ever put one of these into a 62 Champ? They are solid engines with forged cranks. This Champ was gutted for an SBC. I just want a Gofer truck. Rear end is a 4.27

| The Last Convertable | 10 Oct 2007 16:44 GMT | 2 |
Was looking at some old news clips and one of them kept right on going right into what looks like a cheesy made for TV movie called "The Last Convertible", which is a beautiful Packard and there are quite a few shots both still and moving of the Packard.

Woo-Hoo! Actually did some Studebaker stuff today. A nice, sunny day here in my part of Alberta, and quite warm despite the steady south wind. Aired up a flat tire on the '53 Champion coupe I got at Mannville, AB. Installed a

Hello. My '64 R1 Daytona is down at the exhaust shop and I am unsure of what kind of chrome tips should be put on the new exhaust. There was some confusion, as I thought they were rolled from the factory -so I asked for rolled. But the shop made a mistake and installed slashed.

Fired the R2 project today and she fired right up. Jeff and me looked it over, tightened a couple of weeping fitting and ran it for maybe half hour total. Zero surprises, wheels go round and round on jack stands, life is good.(The yellow valve covers are on while waiting for the ...

| holding my breath | 07 Oct 2007 14:12 GMT | 1 |
The valve covers and air cleaner on my '55 President State Coupe looked awful. Noone seemed to know what color gold they should be. I looked at the many pictures I have saved on my hard drive and decided to take a shot. Yesterday, I dropped them off at the powder coater and ...

| Another good studebaker day | 07 Oct 2007 11:43 GMT | 1 |
Day before yesterday, I went and bought a front speaker for the 61. Put it in, put the radio back in, plugged everything together and got beautiful single speaker sound when the tubes warmed up! Then I broke out the new gasket for the windshield that I got from SASCO, checked ...

| Lost a hubcap | 07 Oct 2007 05:49 GMT | 8 |
And couldn't find it in a half-hour search. Who's got a nice (cheap) one for a 62 cruiser? White squares, red center, white "S"? Actually, I could paint one, but prefer the squares to at least be already done!
