Fiberglass Dash in a Champ Truck18 Sep 2009 17:07 GMT3
The Dash cover in my 62 Champ was cracking and starting to peel. I thought I
would just scrap it all off and paint it. When I started scraping I found
the top part under the cover is fiberglass. Now I have had 8 or 10 Champs
over the years and never have I seen a fiberglass dash ...

Fate of my 1964 Commender.15 Sep 2009 19:25 GMT2

Well, it's not a Studebaker, but I saw a 55 DeSoto for sale today -
signs says it has a hemi, looked at the dash and it has a vertical
shifter marked RND1 - hmm, a DeSoto-O-Matic?

was stolen from a cattle ranch on Grant Line Road in Elk Grove
California .. now my buddy thinks it may be surfacing --so we would
appreciate any leads. Please keep key an eye out for it …  call Mike
Any acrylic lacquer around 64 Avanti Gold?08 Sep 2009 00:59 GMT2
Probably a foolish question, but I suppose there must be a quart of
Avanti Gold for a 1964 Avanti out there sitting on someone's shelf
someplace.  I just acquired one and it needs some minor blemishes here
and there taken care of.  It still has the original paint and is in
