Yesterday I got a recall notice in the mail for my H6 Outback. It seems
that the accelerator and/or cruise control cable can pop out of its
channel and cause enough binding in the cable so that the engine won't
back down when the foot is lifted off the accelerator.

I just replaced the front seals and waterpump.  It acts like the water pump
is not turning.  I get no blowing hot air inside the car.  I put in a new
thermostat, then tried the old one.  Same problem with both.  If I remove

Considering the possible trade-up from a Forester to a new WRX Sport
Wagon, and have a few questions:
